Our first night in Valencia we had tellinas. Small seafood the size of ten cents sprinkled with Spanish olive oil. Our lips shone as we sucked the sweet flesh of the amethyst shells. Dishes of ham and bread with tomatoes and olives and salted sheep cheese filled the table. I smiled with my mouth full.
